Personalize
Pour the maze into a shape, or drop the shape in the middle and build the maze around it.

Up to 12 letters (A–Z). Landscape gives longer names more room.

Fine-tune
Pure style. The same maze can be drawn square, rounded, or wobbly like a hand sketch. Slide it and watch: the solution never changes.
The personality of the corridors: long straight halls on the left, tight zigzag junctions on the right.
How many dead ends taunt you. Forgiving mazes nearly solve themselves; cruel ones fight back.
How many distinct paths reach the exit. One is a classic maze; several make it friendlier.
Challenges
RaceTwo runners, two entrances, one star. Print it, grab two pencils, and go. Both routes come out the same length whenever the maze allows it.

PortalsJump between matching letters. Each pair connects a new section, so you need the portals to escape.
Locked doorsA numbered bar blocks your path until you fetch the matching key. Keys wait somewhere off the main trail.
CheckpointsNumbered diamonds along the way. Pass through each one in order before you head for the star.
One-way passagesArrows mark gaps you can only go through one way. Each one looks like a shortcut to the star, so watch which way it points.
